Hamburg Baby

Yeah, we will be in Hamburg the next days! If you have something that we should join, let us know. It could be everything, a party, a exhibition, a showroom, a kaffeklatsch, a shooting, we could do a shooting ourselves, whatever! We are hungry for some creative output. Perhaps we can work something out together. Just drop us an email or a comment. Watch out, we are around and party like hell. ;)

New Leica V-Lux 20 Camera

Now it is official. We tested a new camera for “Leica“. It is called “Leica V-Lux 20“. She has an integrated GPS function, which is a really nice feature. As you can see on the “microsite” she records the exact position of where we took those pictures. It is kind of funny. If we just changed the side of the street and you could afterwards see it on the map. If you zoom in the map, you will see it. That way you will be able to get the adresses of most of the stores that we visited. Small and nice camera. I took all the pictures from NYC with her. Does that answer your questions about the camera, “Fenke“? ;)

Marc by Marc Jacobs and me

Ok, I’m hooked now. I never really liked Marc by Marc Jacobs. I don’t know why. For me it was this strange upperclass NYC Streetstyle Brand. The last days I passed the store at Bleecker Street a few times. My colleague was so hot about going there, so we went in. Everyone was really nice and friendly. Sometimes when I go in stores, especially streetwear-shops, I don’t feel really comfortable. The people that work in those store making feel bad somehow. A bit like: “You!? No you are not cool enough to wear something like this.” At the Marc by Marc Jacobs Store it was so the oposite and kind of hipster alert. ;) Funny, normally I would never have tried anything on, but there it was no problem. I’m so totally broke so I just bought a ring and a necklace. If I could, I would buy more. ;) What I also like is 25% of the money that they make in the store goes straight to a foundation called “Creativegrowth“, an art center that takes care for people with mental and physical disabilities. LIKE!!!!

Bye bye you beautiful city

It happend really fast. Someone called me and said that I have a flight in 3 hours. So I ran to my hotel, packed my stuff and drove to the airport. On my way I crossed “Carrie’s house”. :) I had a nice time, with nice people in one of the most amazing cities on earth. I will miss it.

Lost in Translation

I hope you are not so bored from all those pictures, because I’m lost in NYC. No way to fly back. So you gonna see a lot of pictures the next days ;)

NYC Total Chaos

Just a few new pictures and my new shoes ….

The real Sex and the City

I thought it would be exciting to see “OAK” that is just a few houses away from where I work as well as “Urban Outfitters“. And yes it was and of course I found something. But then something else happened. I was sitting at the set in an appartment and saw some really amazing shoes. Of course I looked at the shoes first but as I was staring for a while and then looked up, I saw straight into the face of Sarah Jessica Parker. I couldn’t take my eyes off of her. We were all in shock. Wenn das man nicht ein NYC-Erlebnis ist. Mehr NYC geht nicht, oder!? ;-)

Bright sunshine

Missing my to sweethearts!

I don’t come back

It so good to be in NYC. The weather is nice and everyone is sooo friendly. Crazy situation with the volcano in Iceland. We passed it on the way here. I saw a nice movie, you need to see it. It’s called “Lovely Bones”.

Me & my new Jeffrey Campbell Shoes

…are going workwise to NYC tomorrow! Do you remember them? They were a “Today’s Favorite“. Anyway, so nice to go to NYC. Thank you Patrice to make this happen! I know that you are reading this right now. ;) If you all got some nice events that I should join or hot shops that I should visit, let me know. It would be nice to hear something from you. It’s been a while since I was in New York the last time…

Leica featuring Weareyouneak

We are proud to announce we are a part of the “Leica Travel Project“. Leica asked us to test one of their cameras and show the results on the “Microsite” or on our blog. They will update the website every day, so you have the chance to see more pictures of our trip there including the exact position on the map. We hope you enjoy it!

Last impressions

I could cry out loud but I won’t ’cause I am strong. Leaving Los Angeles felt really sad and this will definitely not be the last time. Inglewood was our home most of the time and in combination with Venice Beach, it really reminded us a lot of our home in Hamburg, the good old Reeperbahn district. I hope you all enjoyed following us! For those who already gave us their feedback, thanks for all the warm comments! We do appreciate it!

Last outfit in L.A.

It was fun to take pictures in L.A. Nice locations everywhere. We are back since a few hours and I’m starting to miss it. We had a lot to do on our last day, so I was wearing something more easy to like this nice “Motel Cardigan” and the “Urban Outfitters Jeans“.
(Cardigan – Motel, Shirt – Weekday, Jeans – Urban Outfitters, Shoes – Weekday, Glasses – Cheapo)

Say hello

I know leo is not everyone’s taste, but I love it! No wonder that I fell in love with those “Jeffrey Campbell” limited editition pixie wedges. A few days ago, I searched the internet for a shop where I can find “Jeffrey Campbell Shoes” in L.A. After a while I gave up. As we walked around, we crossed the “LFStores“. I knew it before like the most of you, because their always so nice lookbooks. Anyway, they have a huge selection of shoes and those are one of my new ones. ;)

First earthquake

Today we survived our first earthquake. That was a kind of scary. First I was wondering why I felt bad from one second to the other, then I looked around and saw that everything was moving around me. Uhhhhh. Strange and nobody said anything because it is so normal in California. I’m wearing my new dress and jacket from “Forever 21“. Philipp hates the combi. ;) To much mixed pattern for him. Thank you all for the nice comments! We hope that you all have some nice easter days. We have a very good time here in LA and are kind of sad to leave it in a few… But there is one thing that we really look forward to, our third family member Nikita! Hell yeah, we miss her a lot!

Untitled

We are doing nothing special and just hang around the last days. Nice! I’m wearing my new jumper and jacket from Urban Outfitters. It is colder than it looks.

Viva Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a really strange city. You drive hours through the desert and than this glitter-something rises up at the horizon. I like the look of the older casions, so golden and full of mirrors. The newer ones are kind of boring to me. Las Vegas is a Mekka for Philipp. My god, he was eating like hell. ;) Of course we joined one of the great buffets in a casino. It was fun to be in Las Vegas, but it was good that we didn’t stay any longer. A bit sad that we didn’t make it to the Grand Canyon and the Hoover Dam, but that was too far away for our short stay in the States. A good point is that even I did find some really nice clothes in Vegas. Yippie!

Run for Las Vegas

So there we left beautiful LA to get some of that famous Las Vegas flava. We stayed at the Stratosphere that seems to be stuck in the 80′s somehow, but it’s great. A walk down the strip was a bit like walking though the Dom in Hamburg. Crazy stuff! Two days is enough though, so now back to Los Angeles.

Let’s go to Las Vegas

We left Los Angeles because the weather was changing and became really cold. A cold that’s what I also got. I catched it somewhere. I’m wearing this nice “Motel-Dress” and I love the pattern. It’s something totaly different to what I’m normally wearing. I stole Philipp’s jacket and put on my new Nars lipstick ;)
(Dress-Motel, Jacket-Obey, Shoes-Weekday)

Hollywood and the Hill

It was time for some clichés so we went to the Kodak Theatre and checked out the famous boulevard with all the crazy tourists. Then we drove up Mullholland Drive and made a stop at the Runyon Canyon Park that you might know from all those nice magazines like Intouch, Life&Style etc. Sevda is sure we passed Moby. ;-) The ride down was awesome and almost makes us want to stay here. We will see! Tomorrow a storm will strike Los Angeles so we head for Las Vegas early in the morning.
